Phuket Sunday Walking Market

Phuket’s Old Town brightly painted, century-old Sino-Portuguese townhouses.

The vibrant Phuket Old Town is renowned for its vividly colored, hundred-year-old Sino-Portuguese townhouses. These historic buildings are exceptionally well-preserved, particularly along Soi Rommanee. The primary thoroughfare, Thalang Road, is home to shops vending artisanal ice cream and batik fabrics, as well as hosting a Sunday market where visitors can find souvenirs and indulge in street food such as fried bananas. The Thai Hua Museum showcases displays centered on the culture of Chinese immigrants, while the Jui Tui Shrine exhibits a striking array of colorful statues depicting Chinese deities.
